The following information and recommendations is from many publications and Drs. in the field of medicine and nuclear research compiled from the early days of nuclear experimentation to the present. Two Drs. that have done research and written articles are Drs. I. Eliaz and Apsley. Dr Apsley has just written a new book, Fukishima Meltdown & Modern Radiation. Information from these Drs. and more can be found on the internet. It is our intent here to provide a basic inexpensive regimen to protect living cells from harmful damage from radiation and to provide a program to remove harmful radioactive particles from living systems. Radioactive material from the Japanese nuclear plants' meltdown in March of 2011 has been reported all over North America. It is here and has not been contained as of today 8/3/11. It would also be good to have these items on hand in the event of further nuclear catastrophes and environmental pollutants.
Nuclear radiation generates ionization particles that cause damage or oxidation of cellular membranes of living organisms. This damage has been known to disrupt cells to the point of causing them to turn to cancerous states and even to death. It makes sense then to provide living cells with known antioxidants to protect from the harmful effects of radiation and environmental substances. Dr. Petkau, in his research in 1972, showed that a low level of radiation was even more harmful than high levels. It is called “the Petkau effect” (named for its discoverer). Right now Japan and the world are experiencing exposure to the nuclear material being released from the damaged reactors caused by the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Most of us are subject to “the Petkau effect,” due to low levels of radiation that have circulated throughout the world. In Seattle, Washington, monitors have recorded 10 radioactive particles of Cesium and Strontium in 10 cubic meters of air per day. This is the normal amount that one would process through one’s lungs per day. It has been many days now since the incident and these radioactive particles are accumulating daily in our lungs. This seems very small compared to the amount accumulated in Japan itself, but the problem is that even these few particles are emitting radioactivity, with the constant potential of causing damage to surrounding cells. So, it would be the prudent thing to provide substances to lessen the impact and damage to our cell membranes with antioxidants. Also, we ought to provide our bodies with items that have the ability to complex and remove these harmful substances from the body. Below is a list of things to do just that. These are not a complete list, but ones that are simple and easily obtained with research showing their effectiveness.
Antioxidant Six-Pack: $35.00 (incl. postage) Selenium 50mcg (1 per day recommended) Selenium is a trace mineral that has been shown to be an antioxidant with many studies showing it to be anticancer by this property. People with cancer have been shown to have low blood levels of this mineral. Remember, this is a trace mineral. Too much can be toxic. 50mcg daily is not toxic. Lipoic Acid 200mg(1 per day recommended) Lipoic acid is a naturally occurring compound that restores antioxidant properties to Vitamin C and Vitamin E after they have been used up. In other words, it extends the usefulness of these other vitamins, so you do not have to take as much to get more benefit. Lipoic Acid also restores mitochondria function that has been lost due to aging. Mitochondria are the energy providing organelles of the living cells. Lipoic Acid plays a role in reducing inflammation and is a heavy metal chelator (removing cesium and strontium). It protects the liver and kidney from damage and aids the heart cells to produce energy. It has also been shown to lessen effects of neuropathy. C-1000 Timed Released (1 per day recommended) Vitamin C has been well known as an antioxidant. It also plays a role keeping cells together and healing. Scurvy a disease that occurs in a deficient state of Vitamin C is when the cells fall away from each other. Excel E 400 IU(1 per day recommended) This Vitamin E formula contains two forms of Natural Vitamin E: 200 IU's of d-alpha tocopherol and 200 IU's of d-gamma tocopherol. The d-gamma has been shown to have more antioxidant power than the d-alpha. Vitamin E has been known as an antioxidant, but is also been known for its healing properties. Grapeseed extract(1 per day recommended) Grapeseed extracts are known to contain high concentrations of Flavenoids and OPC's (Oligomeric proanthocyanididins). Both of these are recognized as antioxidants that prevent lipid oxidation. (Cell membranes are made up of lipids.) They prevent inflammation, prevent cancer cell growth, and promote wound healing. N-acetyl Cysteine(2 per day recommended, taken apart from the others on an empty stomach) This naturally occurring amino acid contains sulfur which enables it to bind (complex with) heavy metals such as mercury, cesium and strontium and then to carry them out of the body. The onion garlic family contains this amino acid, as does cheese. Radioactive particles can generate free radicals and can cause damage on a cellular level, so it is a good idea to neutralize these particles with these antioxidants and to eliminate them with Cysteine and also the Citrus Pectin (below). For low level exposure to radiation as recommended above, one pack will last for 60 days. For best results, consider doing this program twice per year, or more if your exposure to radiation is more severe. This pack would also be helpful twice a year for exposure to other environmental toxins.

Modified Citrus Pectin with Modified Sodium Alginate: $35 (incl. postage) 180 capsules per bottle, 750mg per capsule. This substance has been shown by research to bind and expel radioactive cesium and strontium. Normal citrus pectin has been effective in helping to cleanse the intestinal tract of toxins, but the particles are too large to be absorbed into the blood stream. Our citrus pectin has been modified or reduced to its simplest components to ensure absorption into the blood stream. Research has shown that these components complex with heavy metals and carry them out of the system. Work was done with this compound after the Russian nuclear reactor melted down at Chernobyl in 1986. It showed that up to 40% reduction of cesium in children occurred when this was given to them. The Sodium Alginate (also modified for absorption) is added to prevent reabsorption of the metals, so that they pass out of the body.
